  • Day of the Dead Face Painting Design | Face Painter in Orange County

Date: 2009.10.29 | Category: face painter, face painter orange county, face painters, face painting, face painting designs | Response: 2

This recent Day of the dead face painting design by Brenda Bourges was inspired by of course non other than El Dia de los Muertos, the Mexican yearly tradition of honoring the dead. Although Brenda is a face painter in Orange County, any face painter is capable of doing their interpretation of a Day of the Dead sugar skull. It’s fun, extremely shocking and you can get pretty creative in decorating the skull with fancy swirls and curls, teardrops, gems and glitter.

For this day of the dead face painting design I used:

    • Wolf Brothers white and black
    • Diamond FX light blue
    • Diamond FX pink
    • Diamond FX purple
    • Diamond FX yellow
    • Diamond FX red
    • Mama clown gems

If you are a face painter or aspiring to be one, this skull face is a sure hit for your portfolio.

face painter in Orange County FaceFormersIf you need more families to visit your business, hiring a face painter is a sure bet on doing just that. Kids love getting their faces painted and parents will go out of their way to please their kids. With competition and economic challenges, standing out above the competition is what it’s all about. Of course you will need to promote and advertise to your local community and let them know that on whatever day of the week you have FREE face painting, but once the word is out, or you place a big sign right on the street outside of your business, traffic will be coming your way. Not to mention that you’ll be the talk of the town.

Hiring a face painter is especially great for businesses that are typically not very exciting. I was recently hired for an insurance company at a car show. Families flocked to the booth non stop. We had a line the entire day and our insurance agent clients loved every minute of it. This too can be the case for your business or booth.

When hiring a face painter, be sure to check out the quality of their work and ask them how many kids they can cover per hour. Also be sure to ask if they use professional face paint such as Wolf Brothers, Diamond FX, Snazaroo, Kryolan or Mehron. Next, ask if they have insurance and have them bring a copy of their insurance policy to the day of the event.

The general hourly rate for a face painter is $55 to $120 depending on your location. Although this may seem high, there is allot that goes into the job. Good painters spend time and money on quality supplies, education, insurance, and transportation. None of which is cheap.

Try hiring a face painter to attract more potential customer to your business and let us know what your results were.
